Pedestrian hit, killed while crossing East Sam Houston Parkway feeder road, HCSO says

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a fatal car accident that occurred on Saturday night in the 3400 block of East Sam Houston Parkway.

According to deputies, at approximately 7 p.m., a male pedestrian was struck by a blue Honda Ridgeline while crossing the feeder road. The Honda was traveling northbound out of the main lanes onto the feeder roads at the time of the accident.

Deputies stated that the pedestrian failed to yield the right-of-way and was struck by the front left side of the Honda. Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an evaluation, deputies determined that the driver of the Honda was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs and was subsequently released from the scene.

The identity of the pedestrian has not yet been disclosed, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office’s Vehicular Crimes Division is currently conducting further investigation into the incident.
