Toddler killed after being hit by rideshare driver in N. Harris County: HCSO

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office reported that a tragic incident occurred in north Harris County on Sunday, resulting in the death of a baby girl who was hit by a rideshare driver.

The incident took place at the 15500 block of Waverly Drive when the driver was dropping off a family with a toddler.

According to deputies, the driver accidentally struck the toddler without realizing she was in front of the car.

Following the accident, family members intervened and began to assault the driver.

Authorities stated that the driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Unfortunately, despite medical intervention, the toddler was taken to the hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
