Cold case: Dallas Police still searching for answers in Ron Carr’s murder

Dallas Police Department detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in solving the murder of a 19-year-old man that occurred 26 years ago.

On April 7, 1998, Ron Carr was fatally shot while sitting in his car in the 2700 block of Toluca Avenue.

Authorities reported that two Black men were observed fleeing from the scene of the shooting. During their escape, one of the suspects dropped a jersey bearing the name “Hoard” and the number “33.”

The police department has brought attention to Carr’s unsolved murder as part of #ColdCaseTuesday, aiming to uncover leads related to the suspects involved in the tragic shooting.
