Surveillance footage shows body in SW Houston apartment parking lot was run over twice, HPD says

An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a body in a parking lot of a southwest Houston apartment complex on Saturday morning.

Police reported that surveillance footage captured a dark gray Ford F-150 striking the victim, backing up over them, and then running over them again.

Alex Bozarjian was provided with surveillance video by a neighbor, revealing the sequence of events. The footage shows the victim being hit and falling to the ground as the suspect’s vehicle passes by. Subsequently, the driver reverses, rolling over the victim without stopping, and then drives away without checking on the injured individual.

Houston police disclosed that the motive behind the incident is yet to be determined, whether it was related to a stolen vehicle or stemmed from an altercation.

The area was cordoned off with crime scene tape as law enforcement officials responded to the incident, which occurred around 6 a.m. The victim, described as a Hispanic man, is believed to have been a resident of the apartment complex.
