‘No idea where he is’: Search continues for missing man in Forney

Concern is escalating with each passing hour for a man who has mysteriously disappeared in Forney.

Waid Robison, aged 22, went missing on Sunday morning while en route to work after his car crashed on Highway 80 near FM 460.

On Tuesday, efforts to locate Robison persisted through searches by land, air, and water.

For Robison’s family and friends, the absence of answers for yet another day meant enduring another sleepless night.

“My mind is scattered, and I haven’t been able to rest much in the past couple of days. I’m truly not thinking clearly at this point, making it hard to be productive,” expressed Camaron Banno, a childhood friend of Robison’s.

According to Forney police, Robison crashed his vehicle around 6:30 a.m. Sunday on Highway 80 near FM 460 and then fled along the frontage road.

He was expected to meet coworkers for lawn mowing duties that morning but never arrived.

“When I say this guy has worked tirelessly for three years without taking a single weekend off, that’s the honest truth,” shared Banno.

Since the accident, Robison’s cell phone and footprints near a creek have been the only indicators of his whereabouts.

“It’s currently a wide-open situation,” remarked Zach Smith, the City of Forney’s communications director.

Smith highlighted the exhaustive efforts underway to locate Robison, emphasizing that the search will persist until he is found.

“The uncertainty is maddening,” expressed Dillon Owens, who is married to Robison’s sister, underscoring the family’s need for answers.

“The most difficult part is returning home each night and having to tell her that I still haven’t found him,” Owens lamented.

“We’re completely clueless about his whereabouts. That’s the most devastating aspect, the sheer anxiety it brings. It’s challenging to function,” added Banno.

Numerous volunteers have also joined the search efforts.

Anyone with information pertinent to locating Robison is urged to contact the authorities.
