Two women shot to death at Dallas apartment, 65-year-old suspect charged with murder

A tragic incident unfolded on Tuesday night in Dallas, resulting in the deaths of two women and the arrest of another woman in connection with the double homicide.

The Dallas Police Department reported that 65-year-old Doris Walker has been charged with capital murder in the shooting deaths of 17-year-old Drenesia Willis and 40-year-old LaNeshaia Pinkard.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, April 23, in the 300 block of South Boulevard just before 8 p.m.

Upon receiving reports of a shooting, Dallas Police responded to the scene and discovered Willis and Pinkard with gunshot wounds.

Despite efforts to save them, both victims succumbed to their injuries after being transported to a local hospital.

Following an investigation into the shooting, homicide investigators identified Walker as the alleged shooter responsible for the deaths of Willis and Pinkard.

Walker was subsequently arrested and booked into the Dallas County Jail on the charge of capital murder. Her bond has been set at $500,000.

The fatal shooting remains under investigation by authorities.
