Identical twins Jadon and Jaxon Janke sign with Texans after going unselected in 2024 NFL Draft

In Houston, Texas, the Janke brothers share more than just a last name—they share a position, a family, and a team.

“It’s unbelievable to do this with my twin brother here,” expressed Jadon Janke to.

Recently, Jadon and Jaxon Janke wrapped up remarkable careers as wide receivers at South Dakota State University. Despite going undrafted in April’s NFL Draft, both secured free agent contracts with the Texans. These identical twins, who boast a history of three state titles in high school and two national championships in college, will inject some friendly competition into the Texans’ rookie camp—competing against each other.

“Our competition is constant, whether it’s football, basketball, track and field, or baseball—anything,” Jadon explained.

According to Jaxon, “Twins thrive when they’re close and together,” highlighting the importance of their bond.

Having played together since 2nd grade, their joint journey almost hit a snag until the Texans stepped in, offering a deal to sign both brothers as a package.

“Jaxon was actually close to finalizing a deal with Seattle before we both agreed to join the Texans,” shared Jadon.

Reflecting on the unique opportunity, Jaxon remarked, “Our agent mentioned he hadn’t seen such a deal proposed in over 20 years of being an agent.”

Excitement surged among their family, especially their mom, upon learning they’d be embarking on their NFL careers together. However, they’ve encountered a slight hurdle—scarcity of Texans merchandise in South Dakota.

“Many of our family members have been on the lookout, but we haven’t found anything yet,” Jaxon revealed, smiling.

As they dive into rookie minicamp, these two brothers with identical names aim to leave their mark on the Texans, representing South Dakota with pride.
