Dekaney HS staff member resigns, arrested for alleged ‘inappropriate conduct’ with student: district

A staff member of Spring ISD has been arrested for allegedly engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student, as reported by the district.

The incident occurred during this year’s Spring Break holiday, with allegations of misconduct involving a Dekaney High School staffer and a student, according to a spokesperson from Spring ISD.

Following a conference held upon her return on March 18, the accused staff member resigned from her position at Dekaney HS.

A joint investigation was conducted by the Spring ISD Police Department and the district’s human resources department.

Subsequently, the former staff member was issued a felony arrest warrant by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
