Victim claims 3 landscapers attacked him as he sought insurance info after SE Houston fender bender

In Houston, Texas (KTRK), a local resident, Henry Heron, recounted a distressing encounter with a landscaping crew in the Gulfgate Riverview/Pine Valley neighborhood last week, leaving him with scrapes and bruises.

Heron explained that he was a passenger in his father’s car on April 30 when they stopped on Beatty Street near Buford to allow a delivery van to pass. It was at this moment that their vehicle was rear-ended by a gardening truck occupied by four individuals.

Describing the altercation, Heron stated that he requested insurance information from the truck’s driver, but the situation quickly escalated as the driver shifted blame onto Heron and his father.

According to Heron, the confrontation intensified when additional individuals exited the truck and began advancing towards him. He recounted being physically assaulted, despite his father’s attempts to intervene.

Heron managed to fend off his attackers through quick thinking, resorting to biting one of them in self-defense, prompting them to retreat to their truck and flee the scene.

Despite the severity of the incident, law enforcement has yet to locate the truck or any of the individuals involved.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Heron questioned the behavior of the landscaping crew, wondering why individuals in their profession would resort to intimidation and violence.
