Parkway Place residents shower HFD Station 86 with gratitude

Across the nation, many people observed National Emergency Medical Services Week the week of May 19-25. Senior adults love their emergency responders, too.

A group of residents from Parkway Place, a faith-based senior living community in the Memorial area, took time on Thursday, May 23, to handwrite special thank-you letters to them. A day later, they hand-delivered the notes to the staff at Houston Fire Department Station 86.

According to a press release, “Whether there is an accident or an illness, these trained professionals work around the clock to make sure care is available quickly … The residents want to honor those who sacrifice the most and make sure they feel appreciated during this annual observance.”
