Boy, 5, dies two days after drowning in Katy pool

A 5-year-old boy who was rescued from a pool Friday evening in southwest Katy has died, according to authorities.

The child, identified as Colin Feng, died on Sunday, nearly two days after what Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls called a drowning incident in the 3400 block of Tamarron Parkway

“We send our condolences to the family,” Nehls said in a tweet.

Police initially said the child was 6.

Since the Memorial Day weekend, five children have drowned in Harris and Fort Bend County pools
