Toddler boy found after League City police issue Amber Alert

A toddler boy was found Monday night shortly after League City police issued an Amber Alert that said his parents had abducted him amid a CPS custody case.

The child, Malakhi Bankhead, was believed to be in danger, authorities said in the abduction alert. A judge last Wednesday ordered his parents, Katherine Ulrich, 21, and Cody Bankhead, 24, to hand the tot over to CPS but that never happened, League City police spokesman K.R. Williamson said

CPS was investigating the parents, Williamson said.

Williamson did not elaborate on where Malakhi was found and whether anyone was in custody.

In the initial alert, authorities said Malakhi had eczema on his elbow. Additionally, the two suspects were last seen in League City.

Ulrich, of Seabrook, is out on bond for a December 2018 misdemeanor theft case, while Bankhead, of League City, was also out on bond for an evading arrest charge last September, according to court records.
