2 wounded after gunman shoots at parked cars at Fort Worth convenience store

Two people were injured Sunday night after a gunman opened fire at cars at a Fort Worth convenience store, our partners at KXAS-TV (NBC 5) report.

Officer responded to the shooting at around 11 p.m. at the Texaco Food Mart in the 2800 block of Las Vegas Trail. Dispatchers then received another 911 call from one of the two victims, who fled to a Shell service station on Bryant Irvin Road and Interstate 30 after the shooting.

The shooter opened fire at several vehicles near the Texaco station, police say.

Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition, police say. Authorities are working on a motive for the shooting.
