Police investigating death of person whose body was found in South Dallas

Dallas police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found in South Dallas late Tuesday morning, police said.

Officers responded about 11 a.m. Tuesday to a call regarding a dead body in the 2900 block of Cleveland Street, near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and South Ervay Street.

Police said Dallas Fire-Rescue determined that the person, whose identity was not released by police, had died of homicidal violence.

A motive has not been determined, police said.
