Man dies, suspect in custody after stabbing outside Plano Bazaar

A man died after a stabbing Tuesday evening outside Plano Bazaar, and police said a suspect was in custody.

The stabbing was reported just after 6 p.m. in the parking lot at Jupiter Road and 14th Street.

The victim, whose name has not been released, had been stabbed multiple times and was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.

Officers also responded to K Avenue and Dobie Drive, about 2 miles away, where a witness had followed a suspect vehicle. Police found the suspect still in the vehicle and took him into custody.

Authorities were working Tuesday night to identify the suspect, who they said refused to identify himself.

Police have not determined a motive in the stabbing.
