Garland police searching for missing 15-year-old with autism

Garland police are searching for a teenage boy who went missing Sunday afternoon.

Owen Van Leach, 15, was last seen in the 2600 block of Livenshire Drive in Garland, near the intersection of Plano Road and Walnut Hill Lane, just after 3 p.m., police said.

Owen is described by police as five feet tall, 150 pounds with reddish hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing a black thermal shirt, grey or tan sweatpants, and black slip-on shoes with a white Nike logo, police said

Police said Owen has autism and is high-functioning.
