Child found safe in Louisiana after regional Amber Alert issued for missing 23-month-old boy

A 23-month-old boy, who was the subject of a regional Amber Alert issued Wednesday night, has been found safe in Louisiana.

The Amber Alert was issued by the Harris County Precinct 6 Constable’s Office for the child, who was last seen on Tuesday around 6 p.m. in the 15900 block of the I-45 North Freeway.

An update provided early Thursday morning stated that the alert was canceled after the child was located safe in the Baton Rouge area, along with a vehicle believed to be connected to the case.

According to Precinct 6, a suspect was apprehended in Baton Rouge on a warrant and is awaiting extradition to Harris County.
