21-year-old suspect arrested after flashing wad of cash before alleged murder of man: HCSO

A gas station in Harris County is now under investigation following a recent incident that led to the arrest of Tyreq Sanders, 21, on murder charges. The victim, 30-year-old Gary Houston, tragically lost his life in the altercation.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Sanders was charged with murder on Friday in connection with Houston’s death. Initial attempts to locate Sanders had proven unsuccessful until his eventual arrest.

Investigators revealed that Houston sustained multiple gunshot wounds, likely stemming from a verbal dispute that occurred on December 20.

Alanka Houston, the victim’s mother, expressed her anguish, recounting how her son was shot four times in the back by what she described as “cowards.”

Sanders has been placed in custody at the Harris County Jail, with no additional suspects expected to face charges in relation to this case.
