A woman was fatally shot in central Oak Cliff on Thursday morning, Dallas police say. About 11:45 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Nicholson Drive, near West Illinois Avenue, where according to police, an argument between a woman and 29-year-old Eric Thomas escalated into gunfire. ADVERTISEMENT The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died of her injuries, police said. She was identified by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office as 22-year-old Lusero Guzman. Thomas was booked into the Dallas County jail, where he faces a charge of murder in the slaying. He remained in custody Friday.
