Man fatally shot at Pleasant Grove home, Dallas police say

A man was fatally shot at a Pleasant Grove home Friday evening, Dallas police say.

Officers were called about 7:30 p.m. to a house in the 300 block of Beautycrest Circle, near St. Augustine Drive and Seagoville Road, where they found a man with a gunshot wound on the bathroom floor.

The man was pronounced dead at the home. A police incident report identifies him as 39-year-old Quilan Brown.

Several witnesses were interviewed by detectives and police said that, “based on witness information and evidence received at the location,” they would be referring the case to a grand jury to see whether charges should be filed. Police did not release further details about what happened.

Authorities are continuing to investigate.
