SWAT team en route as suspect barricades self in north Houston home

Houston police and SWAT teams are responding to a scene in north Houston where a suspect is barricaded inside a home.

Police tweeted that they had a hostage negotiation team en route to the 800 block of East 32nd Street

On Sunday night, a 23-year-old black male was found shot to death in the middle of the street at the same block. It is unclear whether the two events are related.
