Ford opens Houston call center with 500 jobs

Ford has opened a new customer contact center in Houston’s Chinatown, bringing approximately 200 jobs to the area so far and more to come over the next year.

Elena Ford, Ford Motor Company’s chief customer experience officer and Henry Ford’s great-great-granddaughter, and other officials were at the center on Corporate Drive on Monday, Sept. 9, for a ribbon cutting and celebration.

“We’re here to talk about ownership experience and how we’re going to make it worry-free and much easier for our customers and to build and deepen our customer relationships over time,” Ford said. “And we’ve already doubled our investment in delivering best-in-class customer experiences, which we know will increase trust and loyalty to Ford. And that means in addition to designing great products, we’re reimagining and redefining customer experience at every touch point that customers have with us.”

She said it was particularly important to Ford that the customer contact center be placed in Texas with the best agents available.

“And there is no better place for Ford to be than in Texas, in the biggest truck market in the country,” Ford said. “In fact, there is another important element that we’ve added in truck country, is creating high-performance teams of people that are solely focused on taking care of Ford truck owners.”
