Suspect identified in fatal shooting that erupted out of argument during dice game in South Dallas

One man was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting that erupted out of an argument during a dice game in South Dallas on Friday afternoon, police say.

Officers were called about 5:45 p.m. to the scene of the shooting, in the 2400 block of Robert B. Cullum Boulevard near Fair Park, where they found three men shot.

One of the men, whom police identified Saturday as Kentrell Harris, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two men were hospitalized — one in critical condition and the other stable, police said.

According to police, the three were part of a dice game.

During an argument, Harris pulled out a gun and shot another person, according to an affidavit. The third man, identified as 19-year-old Jakobe Latrell Younger, then shot Harris, according to an arrest-warrant affidavit.

Harris also shot Younger, police said.

A witness later identified Younger as the man who killed Harris, police said, and officers obtained a warrant to arrest Younger on a murder charge. Police said he will be booked into the Dallas County jail after his release from the hospital.
