Suspect in custody after shooting at northwest Dallas strip club that left 3 dead

A suspect is in custody after a shooting at a northwest Dallas strip club last month that left three men dead.

Cameron Daveria Craig, 20, was booked into the Dallas County jail on Tuesday evening on a count of capital murder, jail records show.

Police were called about 2:30 a.m. Oct. 25 to Aces of Dallas in the 2200 block of Manana Drive. Officers found the three men — Demarion Glasco, 27, Darryl Nellums Jr., 26, and Tavion Rice, 29 — on the floor of the club.

Nellums was pronounced dead at the club. Glasco and Rice died at a hospital.

On Sunday, police named Craig as a suspect.

According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, Craig approached and shot each victim individually. Two witnesses identified him as the gunman, and the incident was captured in the club’s surveillance footage, the affidavit says.

Craig remained in custody Wednesday, with bail set at $1 million. He does not have an attorney listed in court records related to the murder charge.

Records show that he was indicted on three drug-related charges last year. Authorities allege he possessed cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine in March 2019.

Craig had been free on bond on those charges, but court records show that the bail bond company he used notified authorities Oct. 16 that it was seeking to surrender him into custody because he was not checking in or complying with the company’s conditions.

On Monday, police released images of two men entering the club who they are seeking to identify, but they did not say how the men are related to the case.
