Frisco real estate broker participated in U.S. Capitol mob after flying to Washington on private plane

A Frisco real estate broker and life coach is facing criticism on social media for her participation in the mob scene at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday that resulted in five deaths.

Jenna Ryan documented her two-day trip on Facebook and Twitter, including a photo of her and four others posing in front of a private plane on the tarmac of the US Trinity Aviation airport in Denton before their departure for Washington.

In a Facebook video, Ryan announced her intent to protest and “storm the Capitol” with other supporters of President Donald Trump who believe Democrats and President-elect Joe Biden stole the November election.

Trump encouraged his supporters to march on Washington, inciting the mob that overwhelmed Capitol Police to gain access to the building.

Ryan, who tweeted that Wednesday was “one of the best days of my life,” had not responded to an interview request.

She released a public statement saying she did not condone the violence that occurred and was “truly heartbroken for the people who have lost their lives.”

In an interview Thursday with CandysDirt.com, a Dallas-based real estate news site, Ryan said she and others didn’t care that someone was shot because “our freedom is more important to us than our lives.” She later threatened on Twitter to sue the site for using the word “terrorist” in its story.

Ryan tweeted that she did nothing wrong at the Capitol and that it is not illegal to take a photo next to a broken window. She asked where her “patriot helpers” were to defend her.

The social media backlash directed at Ryan includes several posts from users suggesting the Texas Real Estate Commission revoke her license. Others have called her a domestic terrorist and a racist.

Her real estate business page on Facebook has received so many negative reviews that the platform has temporarily turned off the ability for people to leave new posts. Ryan, who also runs a life-coaching business called SelfLoveU and has previously hosted an advertising segment on KFXR-AM (1190), tweeted that she had been receiving death threats, emails and calls from people “wanting me to lose my livelihood.”

Ryan’s online presence demonstrates a history of support for far-right causes. She has an account on Parler, a platform popular among conservatives who believe Facebook and Twitter exhibit an anti-Trump bias and are censoring their views. Critics have said Parler provides an outlet for hateful and potentially dangerous speech.

On Ryan’s Pinterest page, she has a board titled “Wake up America!!!” that includes more than 900 pins critical of former President Barack Obama and Democrats in general. She also has boards with pins about opposing abortion and supporting gun rights
