Police searching for suspect in shooting death of 65-year-old man in West Dallas

Dallas police are asking for the public’s help in searching for a suspect in the shooting death of a 65-year-old man in West Dallas.

Police responded to a health and welfare check call on Dec. 23 in the 2300 block of Leath Street about 12:20 p.m. and found Timothy Paul Allen unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a car, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Allen had been shot on Dec. 22, police said. He was a delivery driver and had just made a stop at the Hamptons at Lakewest Apartments before he was fatally shot, police said.

Police said they do not know the killer’s motive.
