1 man arrested, 1 still at large after fatal shooting near Fair Park

One suspect is in custody and another remains at large after a December slaying near Fair Park.

Edward Ray Sims, 35, was arrested on a murder charge Monday in connection with the death of 32-year-old Taboric Lee.

Police found Lee suffering from a gunshot wound the afternoon of Dec. 14 in the 1600 block of Caldwell Street, near Haskell and Fitzhugh avenues. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Sims remained in custody Tuesday, with bail set at $100,000. His attorney could not immediately be reached for comment.

Police have also identified 26-year-old Fredrick Daniels as a suspect in the shooting. Police did not say how they linked either man to the shooting.
