Suspect arrested in fatal shooting of 32-year-old man in Northwest Dallas

Police arrested a man who is suspected of fatally shooting a 32-year-old man last summer in Northwest Dallas.

On July 22, officers responded about 2:45 p.m. to a shooting call the 9500 block of Brockbank Drive, where they found Ricardo Espinoza suffering from a gunshot wound.

Espinoza was hospitalized and later pronounced deceased.

Based on witness accounts, police described the suspect as a light-skinned male between 30 and 40 years old, about five-foot-eight and 180 pounds and possibly balding. He was wearing a white shirt and black cargo shorts.

Anthony Acosta, 28, was arrested Wednesday evening on a murder charge in relation to the shooting.

After being interviewed by detectives, Acosta was taken to the Dallas County jail. His bond has not yet been set.
