Breezy and warmer Sunday ahead

Sunday will feature above normal temperatures with lots of sunshine and highs in the mid 80s. The wind will increase as the day wears on. That means there will be an elevated fire risk through the afternoon and early evening hours.

After a brief warm up, temperatures will be trending downhill as we head into next week. Our next cold front arrives during the first half of the day Monday. Behind the front, a gusty northeast wind will bring in some cooler air. That cool air is going to stick around for the rest of the week and into next weekend as well.

In addition to the cooler temperatures, expect a lot more clouds and a chance for mainly showers (and a few storms) this week. It won’t be raining all week long, but there will be a chance for rain starting Tuesday and continuing each day through next weekend.
