19-year-old man fatally shot outside west Oak Cliff apartments, Dallas police say

A 19-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday night outside a west Oak Cliff apartment complex, Dallas police said.

Officers were called about 7:15 p.m. to the Luna Blanca Apartments at 3707 Mt. Ranier Street, near West Davis Street and North Westmoreland Road.

Jaan Nathan Cantu was found lying on the ground in a parking lot with a gunshot wound, police said. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made, and details about what led to the shooting were unknown, police said.
