Nice weather for the 4th of July

Heavy rain of two inches and more fell Saturday morning just to the west and southwest of Dallas-Fort Worth. But DFW Airport had no more than a sprinkle. Still, the clouds and a light NE breeze kept temperatures down. The high at DFW Airport was only 86, well below the normal high of 94.

The 4th of July looks nice, with mostly sunny skies, temperatures a few degrees below normal, and lower humidity levels as well. The weather will be great for evening fireworks displays both Saturday and Sunday.

Storm chances will return by Monday, and continue through Thursday. But right now, it looks like only a 20-30% chance for isolated to scattered showers or thunderstorms each of those days.
