Where to find Fourth of July fireworks, festivals and parades in Dallas-Fort Worth and beyond

Loosened pandemic precautions mean that fireworks will boom and patriotic parades will march on as many cities and communities again observe Independence Day with events. And there’s likely a festivity to fit almost everyone’s comfort level. Celebrate in a crowd at a big (but still scaled back) festival such as Fort Worth’s Fourth or Kaboom Town in Addison. Or park and watch pyrotechnics from an enjoyable but safe distance. Some events will be livestreamed or shown on local TV channels. (Check websites for details.) Here are a few dozen options to celebrate America’s birthday in your own way. With inclement weather in the weekend forecast, some fireworks shows have July 5 rain day plans in place. Check event websites for weather updates.
