Woman killed, man critically wounded in shooting outside shopping center in northeast Dallas

A woman was killed and a man was critically wounded in a shooting outside a shopping center Saturday evening in northeast Dallas.

Dallas police responded about 5 p.m. to the Academy sporting-goods store in the 6300 block of East Northwest Highway, where a man and a woman were confronted by a man in the parking lot who shot them multiple times.

The woman was pronounced dead by first responders, and the man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said. Police did not identify either victim.

No additional information about the gunman or what led to the shooting was immediately available.
