Child struck by gunfire in Fort Worth drive-by shooting, police say

A child was struck by gunfire in a drive-by shooting late Monday in Fort Worth, police said.

Fort Worth officers were called just after 10:20 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 5000 block of Vinson Street, near East Lancaster Avenue, where they found the child.

The child, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital in good condition, Fort Worth police said.

Police said late Monday no suspects were in custody, and the Fort Worth police Gang Unit was investigating.
