Man critically wounded after officers shoot him in Fort Worth, police say

A man was critically wounded after police shot him Wednesday evening in West Fort Worth.

Police were called to a home near Z Boaz Park about a domestic disturbance about 8:30 p.m. According to KTVT-TV (Channel 11), a man with a shotgun had attempted to take children from the home.

The man returned after police arrived at that location and collided with an officer’s car, the station reported. Officers fired at the man’s vehicle, striking him, police said.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

It was unclear how many officers shot at the man or whether the man fired at police.
