80s return Thursday, rain chance returns Friday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Warm and humid weather will continue for Thursday with temperatures in the 80s for highs. A weak cold front could bring scattered showers and storms Friday and Friday night. The threat for heavy rain and severe weather should stay away from the Houston area.

How are rain chances looking the rest of this week?

Most of us will stay dry Thursday. Our highest rain chance (70%) comes Friday afternoon ahead of a Pacific cool front. There might be a few thunderstorms overnight Friday as the drier air pushes in.

How does the weekend weather look behind the weak front on Friday?

Saturday looks very sunny and a little less humid with afternoon temperatures mainly in the 80s. A warm front moving across Southeast Texas could bring around a 60% chance for showers and a few thunderstorms Sunday. High temperatures may not get out of the 70s Sunday.

Will the warm weather continue?

If you like 70s and 80s in the afternoon, then you will love most days through the remainder of March. A cold front next Monday will bring back some cooler air with highs only in the 60s next Tuesday and Wednesday.
