Severe storms possible Friday

Another storm system will be moving into Texas on Friday with a good chance of thunderstorms. Some of the storms may be severe with the strongest storms capable of large hail, damaging winds, and even a tornado or two.

Friday will start dry with increasing clouds by the afternoon. Storms will develop near or west of DFW by mid-afternoon and move east across the area. They should be out of North Texas by mid-evening as a cold front sweeps into East Texas.

Some showers may linger into early Saturday, but most of the weekend looks dry. Saturday will be a blustery and cool day with highs in the 60s and a gradual return of the sun. Sunday will be much nicer with full sunshine and highs in the upper 70s.
