According to HPD, the victim wounded in the shooting was transported to a fire station in the southeast Houston area seeking assistance

In Houston, Texas, one individual sustained injuries in a shooting incident and was transported to a nearby Houston Fire Department station on Tuesday evening, as per police reports.

The incident unfolded around 5:30 p.m. in the 5300 block of Selinsky Road, prompting Houston Police Department officers to respond to a shooting report.

Following the shooting, authorities conveyed the victim to Fire Station 55 situated in the 11400 block of Cullen Boulevard.

While awaiting further information, data from Neighborhood Safety Tracker reveals approximately 649 assaults occurred in the area over the past 12 months, encompassing neighborhoods such as South Acres, Shamrock, Manor, Hillwood, and Cloverland, with a population of about 21,000 individuals.
