Man killed in ‘targeted’ shooting at Midlothian home

Earlier this week, a man fell victim to a “targeted” shooting at a residence in a Midlothian neighborhood, resulting in his death.

Responding to reports of a shooting, officers arrived at a home in the 500 block of Chelsea Drive in Midlothian around 9 p.m. on Tuesday. According to Midlothian Police, the 911 caller informed dispatchers about a man being shot inside the residence.

Upon entering the home, law enforcement discovered 25-year-old Choyce Redmon unresponsive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Redmon was swiftly transported to Midlothian Methodist Hospital, where medical personnel pronounced him dead.

Witnesses recounted seeing a dark-colored luxury sedan leaving the scene of the fatal shooting, presumably heading from Chelsea Drive to Westminister Drive, as per the police department.

Although authorities have not identified a suspect by name, they believe that Redmon was specifically targeted.

Officers are urging residents in the neighborhood to review their security footage for any vehicles traveling in that direction around the time of the incident.
