Woman in serious condition after being stabbed by 2 children in NW Harris County, HCSO says

In northwest Harris County, a 59-year-old woman is in critical condition after being stabbed, allegedly by two boys aged 7 and 12, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred at a residence on April Valley Ct. Neighbors provided surveillance footage to, showing the two boys conversing with someone before the attack.

Neighbors described the homeowner as having a complex relationship with those in the area, exacerbated by her deteriorating mental health. Recent incidents, including theft and vandalism, have caused concern among residents.

The confrontation escalated when the boys returned to the property, with one wearing oversized blue gloves and the other wearing black gloves. The older boy allegedly charged at the woman inside her garage before fleeing the scene with his companion.

The victim’s brother discovered her shortly after the attack and she was airlifted to a hospital for emergency surgery.

Law enforcement officials later investigated a nearby residence, though it is unclear if the boys reside there.

Neighbors are now grappling with concerns about the safety of the community, particularly regarding the potential actions of children in the area.
