Child reported missing found dead in NW Houston hotel pool, according to Houston police

Authorities have confirmed that the body of a child was discovered in a pool at a hotel in northwest Houston, as reported by police.

The incident occurred at the Doubletree Hotel situated on Highway 290 near Pinemont.

According to officials, the child was reported missing shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday. Following the report, a search was initiated in the vicinity, leading to the discovery of the child in the hotel’s pool. The age and gender of the victim have not been disclosed by officials.

An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
