Meet the 6-year-old cancer survivor who will walk the runway for a good cause

A 6-year-old from Euless, North Texas, named Noble Samiyah, aims to inspire others as she walks down the catwalk.

Samiyah, a cancer survivor, is also an advocate for a local nonprofit dedicated to assisting families during their toughest times.

Her journey began when she was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of two, shortly after her mother, Kelcee King, noticed a nosebleed and sought medical attention.

After subsequent tests, doctors identified Samiyah’s condition as Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a rare subtype of the most common childhood cancer.

Samiyah underwent chemotherapy and later received a bone marrow transplant, with King serving as the donor. Now, years later, Samiyah is in remission.

Reflecting on their journey, King expressed gratitude for the progress made and the support received along the way.

Both King and Samiyah will participate as models in the “Heroes For Children” fashion show scheduled in Frisco on Thursday, April 11.

The local nonprofit, Heroes for Children, provides financial assistance to families struggling with expenses such as rent and transportation during a child’s cancer battle.

King emphasized the significance of such support during what is often an incredibly challenging period for families.
