McKinney couple to tie the knot during eclipse totality

Kathryn Jordan and Micah Simoneaux are set to exchange vows during a truly celestial event – the annular solar eclipse on October 8, 2024.

Their decision to wed during the eclipse was inspired by a serendipitous moment when a neighbor lent them eclipse glasses to view the spectacle through a homemade viewer. Upon noticing the date of the upcoming total solar eclipse inscribed on the glasses, the couple seized the opportunity.

“We were already discussing wedding dates, and just kind of looked at each other and were like yeah, we both knew,” Jordan shared.

Embracing the eclipse theme, the couple has planned their wedding with colors of yellow and orange, reminiscent of the sun. They will also provide eclipse glasses to their guests for an unforgettable experience.

“While the eclipse adds to the magic of our day, for me, the most important thing is the marriage and spending the rest of my life with my best friend,” Jordan expressed.

Indeed, their wedding promises to be a unique and unforgettable celebration, aligning their love with the cosmic wonders of the universe.
