Boy, 5, seriously hurt after being mowed down on Easter by hit-and-run driver in Dallas

At approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday, March 31, a collision occurred in the 2600 block of Elsie Fay Heggins Street.

According to the Dallas Police Department, a gold, four-door vehicle traveling westbound in the right lane on Elsie Fay Heggins struck a five-year-old boy who was crossing the street with an adult.

Following the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene without providing their information or offering assistance to the injured child.

The child sustained severe injuries from the crash, although there is no update on their current condition.
