Dallas police search for hit-and-run driver who left a man dead early Saturday

Dallas police are currently investigating a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a pedestrian early Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. in the 11200 block of Petal Street, located just west of Jupiter Road. According to preliminary investigations, a man was walking when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene without stopping to assess if the pedestrian needed assistance.

Tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries. Dallas police have refrained from releasing his identity until his family has been notified.

As of now, there is no available information regarding the make or model of the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run.
