‘MrInjector1’ client claims alleged unlicensed cosmetic clinician gave her ‘a million side effects’

Thursday morning marked the initial court appearance of a man identified online as “MrInjector1,” as he faced charges related to illegal cosmetic injections. Houston Police Department flagged this case as indicative of a broader issue within the city.

Dustin David Moore, 42, stands accused in a mounting number of cases involving women who have come forward with allegations against him. One such case involves Brianne Griego, who sued Moore in 2022, asserting that he mishandled her butt injections. Griego claims Moore injected her with a substance resembling silicone instead of an FDA-approved filler, resulting in severe complications including pain, inflammation, nodules, and bruising. Further attempts by Moore to correct the issue allegedly exacerbated her condition.

Moore, known as “MrInjector1” on social media platforms like TikTok, showcased his work in numerous videos. However, authorities assert that Moore lacks a valid medical license and allegedly endangered individuals by administering non-FDA-approved injections.

Griego expressed disbelief, stating she believed Moore was under medical supervision and emphasized the underappreciated risks associated with such procedures.

A search on the Texas Medical Board website confirmed Moore’s lack of licensure. Griego’s attorney, Joe Malouf, condemned Moore’s actions, particularly his misrepresentation of being a certified professional and the use of adulterated substances in procedures.

In a dramatic turn of events, Moore’s Pasadena office, Skinny Sculpt MedSpa, was raided by authorities while reportedly in the midst of an injection procedure. Police seized counterfeit Botox during the raid.

Moore faces charges including unlawful practice of medicine and aggravated assault resulting in serious bodily injury. The judge set his bond at $140,000, rejecting arguments against GPS monitoring. Moore was ordered not to engage in any medical activities pending further legal proceedings.

This isn’t Moore’s first brush with the law regarding illegal injections. In 2020, the Texas Medical Board issued a cease-and-desist order against him for practicing medicine without a license in the state.

Moore posted bail on Thursday and is scheduled for another court appearance on Friday. Authorities encourage anyone with information regarding Moore to contact the Houston Police Department’s Major Offenders Division.
