Corpus Christi officer from North Texas critically hurt after being shot in line of duty

A police officer hailing from North Texas is currently battling for his life after sustaining gunshot wounds while responding to a domestic disturbance call in Corpus Christi.

As per the Corpus Christi Police Department, Officer Kyle Hicks was shot while attending to a service call at a residence, resulting in critical injuries.

Hicks, reportedly a resident of Arlington, has been serving with the Corpus Christi Police Department since 2022. Authorities also noted that Officer Hicks is married and has four children.

“Please keep Officer Hicks and his family in your prayers and honor their privacy as they navigate this challenging period in their lives,” stated Corpus Christi Police in a Facebook update.

In support of Officer Hicks and his family during this critical time, a GoFundMe page has been established to provide assistance.
