Dallas Fire-Rescue finds man dead after night-long search in White Rock Creek

Dallas Fire-Rescue was called to White Rock Creek on Saturday night after a man was swept away while attempting to cross on foot. According to DFR, a woman who was with him called 911 at 10:32 p.m. and remained at the scene to assist first responders. Throughout the night, DFR, along with the Dallas Police Department, utilized boats, rescue teams, heavy equipment, and drones in the search effort.

The search continued into Sunday morning, starting around 7:00 a.m. when the water conditions were more favorable. Around 11:30 a.m., the search teams located the deceased man approximately 100 yards from where he disappeared. DFR reported that his body was recovered from the water and transferred to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office.
