Man arrested after report of shots fired turns into SWAT scene in NE Houston, police say

A SWAT situation unfolded in Houston’s northeast Songwood area on Monday afternoon following reports of gunshots, according to authorities.

Houston Police Department officers responded to the 10400 block of Dunvegan Road after receiving reports of gunfire from concerned neighbors.

Harris County Precinct 2 Constable Jerry Garcia confirmed on Facebook that the individual involved in the shooting was identified as Daniel Nobles. Nobles was reportedly wanted on a warrant, and when officers attempted to arrest him, he resisted, prompting the deployment of SWAT teams to the scene.

SkyEye captured footage showing multiple police cruisers and a SWAT robotic canine in the area.

The specific details regarding Nobles’ warrant were not immediately provided.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries during the incident, and Nobles was eventually taken into custody by law enforcement officials.
