2 killed in wrong-way crash on Dallas North Tollway in Frisco, authorities say

Two people were killed in a crash involving a wrong-way driver Saturday night on the Dallas North Tollway in Frisco, authorities say.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were called about 11:50 p.m. to the collision on the tollway, just south of John Hickman Parkway in Frisco.

Lt. Lonny Haschel, a DPS spokesman, said a pickup was driving north in the southbound lanes when it crashed head-on with an SUV.

The pickup’s driver and one person in the SUV died at the scene, he said. Three more people were taken to trauma centers for treatment.

The driver of the pickup was identified as 37-year-old Michael Ramirez of Frisco, Haschel said Monday morning. The passenger in the SUV who was killed was 15-year-old David Boulos of Rockwall, he said.

The crash is still under investigation, Haschel said.
